Epilepsy
ABOUT THIS CONDITION
Epilepsy is a neurological condition characterised by recurrent, unprovoked seizures. It can affect people of any age and may result from many causes, including structural changes in the brain, genetic factors, previous injuries, infections or unknown causes. Although some people respond well to medication, others may have seizures that remain difficult to control and require precise diagnosis and advanced surgical and medical treatments.

OUR APPROACH
Our Chapter brings together neurologists, neurosurgeons, pathologists, neurophysiologists, neuroradiologist and neuropsychologists to provide comprehensive care that integrates brain imaging, electrophysiological monitoring, and functional mapping.
With access to state-of-the-art neurodiagnostic facilities and acquisition of the first ROSA robot in Hong Kong with an aim to facilitate SEEG placement as part of the epilepsy surgery work-up, our team aims to restore seizure control, safeguard cognitive and motor functions, and improve quality of life through truly patient-centred management.
